What is Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is the treatment and relief of symptoms and problems by the use of clinical hypnosis. Clinical hypnosis is an altered state of awareness and hypnotherapy deals with the mind in Beta waves, which is like a deep relaxed daydream. Symptoms may be somatic (of the body) or psychological (of the mind) and by the use of this deep relaxed state the unconscious mind can be reached and used to alter our perception to our problem.
In itself hypnotherapy provides a pleasant deeply relaxed state between being awake and being asleep, which in itself is both rewarding and beneficial. If you have ever been driving down a road and wondered how you got there or imagined the colours, smells and sounds whilst reading a good book, then you have been in a hypnotic awareness state. Nothing could be more pleasant.
Why Mind reflex
Gary BSc MPhil HDip GHR is a qualified hypnotherapist and understands the fears and hesitations that many of our clients have when they first come along. Relaxing and welcoming we provide an initial consultation to get to know you as a person and discover the underlying reason for your problem. Only by doing this can we correctly use clinical hypnosis to help you.
How many sessions will I need
This answer depends on the problem and how you respond. Most issues will take 4 to 6 sessions, some are quicker though.
Stop Smoking is completed in 2 sessions, the initial consultation helps discover if you are ready and provides rewarding relaxation.
Are there any unwanted side effects
This question is really asking if you might suddenly do something that is normally you. The answer is NO. Hypnotherapy will only work on a willing client and can not make you do anything you do not want to do. Hypnotherapy is clinical not stage hypnosis. Throughout the sessions you are in a deeply relaxed but conscious state of mind.
